Adrian Sonnex, Mindfulness-based Teacher & Therapist
I first discovered Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapies when I was introduced to Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) as part of my Professional Course, Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis.
I have been practicing Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapies since 2007 and was awarded my Foundation Diploma in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapies in December 2008.
I regularly teach group courses in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy for Depression.
I also teach Mindfulness and use other Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapies including Traumatic Incident Reduction for PTSD and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with individual clients on a daily basis.
My Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Practice
Mindfulness-based therapies are not like teaching Mathematics, you can’t learn the theories and rules then teach them to others you must continually practice them yourself, developing your personal understanding and experience of Mindfulness. As a Mindfulness therapist and teacher I share my experience and understanding of Mindfulness-based Therapies with my clients.
As a Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapist I meditate using the Body Scan or Sitting Meditation every day. I also do my Mindful movements or walking meditation every day as well as eat and drink mindfully. I see clients Mindfully and spend moments between clients, with family and friends Mindfully.
